About

About Jordan Koehn

I am a founder-scientist who builds new technologies, leads multidisciplinary teams, and turns strong science into real progress.

I co-founded ForagR Medicines to advance platform technology I invented and developed during my postdoctoral research at UNC Chapel Hill. Over three years, I built a sequencing-enabled discovery platform capable of identifying small-molecule interactions across the transcriptome in living cells. That work became the scientific foundation of the company.

In my current role as Head of Platform & Chemical Genomics, I lead platform strategy and research operations across multiple initiatives. My work includes experimental planning, hiring, vendor and CRO management, automation, budgeting, and milestone-driven execution.

Earlier in my career, I trained in organic chemistry and expanded into molecular biology, screening technologies, and translational research through hands-on problem solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration. I have led projects across academia and industry, and I have helped secure more than $1.2M through grants, partnerships, fellowships, and financing initiatives.

I have authored 19 peer-reviewed publications and mentored numerous students and researchers throughout my career.

I am most energized by work that sits at the intersection of science, strategy, and execution, especially in environments that value thoughtful leadership, strong teams, and meaningful impact.
